The entrance visa

The entry visa for Madagascar can be obtained from the diplomatic representations of each country or at Ivato International Airport upon arrival. The fees depend on the duration of the stay. For stays of less than one month, the cost is (Euro 30). If you plan to stay for 60 days, the fee is 70 euros in cash. For a 90-day stay, the amount is 100 euros in cash. Finally, if you initially plan to stay for one month but are able to extend your stay, the fee is 105 euros in cash.

Passport

All nationalities are required to possess a valid passport that remains valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended duration of stay. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you possess the appropriate personal documents and obtain any necessary visa in accordance with the regulations of the country you plan to visit. 1 .Sun protection: Sunglasses and sunscreen are crucial for protecting your eyes and skin from harmful UV rays. Make sure to choose sunglasses with appropriate UV protection and apply sunscreen regularly, especially on exposed areas.

2. Hiking shoes: Invest in a pair of sturdy walking shoes to prevent blisters and injuries. Ensure they provide ankle support and have a non-slip sole for optimal grip on various terrains.

3. Insect protection: In addition to sunscreen, insect repellents are also essential during hikes, especially in areas with a high insect population. Opt for effective repellents and remember to protect yourself by wearing long, lightweight clothing.

However, it is important to note that this insurance does not cover incidents related to travel, such as baggage loss or other issues encountered during your trips.

Professional liability insurance provides specific coverage for NCM's professional risks, such as errors, omissions, or damages caused to third parties in the course of its services. However, it generally does not cover aspects related to travel, such as lost luggage, flight delays, or medical emergencies abroad. Therefore, it is highly recommended to obtain additional travel insurance to benefit from comprehensive and tailored protection for your travel needs. This will provide peace of mind in unforeseen situations while ensuring peace of mind for NCM and its clients regarding the continuity of its services.

While there aren't many 'taboos' per se, it is important to note that pointing at a grave or desecrating a sacred site are disrespectful actions that can sometimes lead to tensions and even violence. To maintain a harmonious environment, it is crucial to strictly adhere to the guide's instructions.

Climate

The region features a mountain range extending from North to South, contributing to the refreshing climate of the Central Highlands. The warmest months typically fall between October and January, while heavy rains occur from December to April. From June to September, it tends to be chilly from Tana to Ambalavao, although coastal areas enjoy pleasant temperatures.

Vaccination

There are no mandatory vaccination requirements. The recommended vaccinations are: Polio, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Typhoid, and Hepatitis A. Malaria prophylaxis is essential, and we suggest that you seek advice from your GP or a travel health clinic regarding which malaria tablets to take. Dengue fever is a known risk in the places you will be visiting. It is a tropical viral disease spread by daytime biting mosquitoes. Currently, there is no vaccine or prophylaxis available for Dengue, so the best way to prevent it is to avoid mosquito bites. We recommend that you take the necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

People often tend to forget about travel health before going on a trip, but a little preparation and knowledge can go a long way in helping you stay fit and healthy while abroad.
